Professional DZ brief, docs check & kit inspection prior to jumping. Lots of loads going up all day long ( we were there during the women's world record attempt so couldn't use the sky vans, but plenty of other aircraft available).
The on site restaurant 'The bombshelter' which is located right next to the pool and sun lounger area has great food at very good prices with very friendly staff. $25 a jump for experienced skydivers, not sure about tandems All in all a good place for experienced skydivers but I personally think Skydive Elsinore is better for AFF students and improver students. My adult son has wanted to skydive for a while now. Then his sister brought up the idea for a skydiving package as a gift for his 25th birthday and we called Skydive Perris. After a conversation with their friendly staff, we booked their Sensory Overload Package.
Guests should plan for the Sensory Overload Package to take about three-quarters of the day. His day began at 10:15am with two indoor skydiving flights in their Skydiving Simulator (wind tunnel) they say that this is comparable to two skydives from 12,500ft w/120mph winds. The jumper is given a flight training briefing by a Certified Body Flight Instructor. Then they have you gear up with indoor skydiving gear from head to toe, complete with helmet and earplugs wear comfortable clothes and bring sneakers. Each indoor flight takes about a minute and there are two instructors with you in the simulator, one with you at all times and the other either in the simulator or giving directions from the door.
There is another employee who runs the equipment and is watching what is happening in the simulator at all times. AnnMar from South Africa was one of the trainers (both of whom were excellent)! Friends and family are welcome to watch and cheer you on from the observation deck and they can take as many pictures/videos as they wish in fact, if the instructors see you are taking pictures, they line your loved one up and make sure you get some great video/photos! Perris Skydiving will also set you up with a photo package of their own, if you wish no pressure! Let me take this moment to make this point to emphasize EVERY STAFF MEMBER WE ENCOUNTERED WAS FANTASTIC! This is a big production, it is well thought out, brilliantly organized and they have excellent customer service!
We told the staff that the tandem jump from the plane was going to be a surprise for my son, so ‘mum-was-the-word’ and he had no idea what was going on until he had to sign the paperwork! It was sweeeeeetttt! While he really liked the indoor jumps, he was secretly kinda bummed to be so close to the REAL jumpers and yet so far so when we lured him over to the airfield to watch some jumpers land he complied, but half-heartedly it wasn’t until he was in the Flight School Office that he found out the day was not yet over we really surprised him! Part two of the Sensory Overload Package was the tandem jump.
A Tandem Skydive is where you are physically/securely harnessed to an instructor during your jump, the jumper freefalls from 12,500ft with the expertise of an experienced instructor. The pair free-fall for nearly one minute, to 5,000ft where they deploy the canopy and then float down to a soft, controlled landing. Perris Skydive provides all gear and you are also given a short training for this. We saw ALL types of people doing this tandem jump, everyone loved it! Oh yes, the Sensory Overload Package provides you with a souvenir “I JUMPED” T-Shirt! When all was said, seen and done. We were back on the road - headed for home a little after 3pm.
My husband and I purchased a video package in addition to the Sensory Overload Package it was about $90 (with the military discount) and it had a pre-flight interview, video while he was in the plane whilst reaching altitude, then his personal videographer jumped with the tandem team for remote footage, additionally his instructor had a Go-Pro in his glove to interview my son as they were floating down. In the meantime the videographer then hurried to land so he could catch the tandem-team’s landing on tape, afterwards he post-jump interviewed my son (to catch the afterglow). Lastly this was neatly edited and given to us in the form of a DVD in less than a half hour! My son is a very reserved kind of guy so the look on his face during the entire jump was priceless to us!
Incredible and worth every penny! Families and friends were not forgotten by Skydive Perris. Perris, California is HOT in the summer!
It was over 100 degrees the July day we were there. But, there is plenty of shade, plenty of seating, a pool guests can use for free, a restaurant with a bar (alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted for skydivers!) and a good variety of fairly decent short-order food served quickly. If you are too hot and need air-conditioning, the restaurant is nice and cool and there are a few offices (Tandem Jump School office and the Video Viewing Room) that you can duck in to for a bit. Summing it up • Excellent staff (from all over the world) • Smooth Operation • Friendly atmosphere • Incredible experience! Special Thanks to Instructor James Perez, Videographer Simeon Lott and Customer Service Rep Lori. Our whole family had a blast!
Complete information regarding USPA's instructional ratings can be found in the (IRM) available through the USPA Store. The IRM includes course outlines, evaluation forms, exams and proficiency cards for each rating. About USPA Instructional Ratings USPA issues instructional ratings to USPA members who have gained the necessary experience and successfully completed a certification course for three different levels of instruction: • USPA Coach Rating • USPA Instructor Rating • USPA Instructor Examiner Rating The USPA Coach Rating may be earned by jumpers with at least 100 jumps and a USPA B license who have completed the Coach Certification Course.
Coaches can teach the general sections of the first-jump course and train and supervise students for group skydiving skills. Coaches work under the supervision of instructors. The USPA Instructor Rating may be earned in four different disciplines: • Accelerated Freefall Instructor (AFF) • Instructor-Assisted Deployment Instructor (IAD) • Static-Line Instructor • Tandem Instructor These are the four methods of available to anyone interested in skydiving.
Each instructor rating requires a higher level of experience than the coach rating, as well as successful completion of a certification course for each different method. Instructors may teach the entire method-specific first-jump course, as well as train and supervise students beginning with the first jump through to the completion of the USPA A license. The USPA Instructor Examiner Rating may be earned in five different disciplines: • Coach Examiner • Accelerated Freefall Instructor Examiner • Instructor-Assisted Deployment Instructor Examiner • Static-Line Instructor Examiner • Tandem Instructor Examiner The examiner rating is the highest level of instructional ratings issued by USPA. Examiners are very experienced instructors who train new coaches and instructors. They have completed additional training that is necessary to become an examiner. PRO Ratings The USPA PRO Rating qualifies skydivers for skydiving exhibitions into challenging landing areas.
To earn the PRO rating, skydivers with a USPA D license must demonstrate landing skills with the parachute they plan to use for shows and receive training on how to use flags and pyrotechnic devices. The FAA allows PRO-rating holders to fly and land closer to crowds than jumpers who have not demonstrated these qualifications. PRO rating privileges are listed in the. Specific information on the PRO rating is available in the. Rating Renewals Each coach and instructor rating must be renewed annually. Crack Hitman Sniper Challenge.
The first year of any rating will be a partial year, because the rating will be issued with the expiration date that coincides with your membership renewal date. Regardless of whether that is one month or 11 months, you must complete the rating renewal form with the necessary signatures and include the rating renewal fee with your membership renewal. Each rating holder must conduct a minimum number of student training jumps each year to meet the renewal requirements, except for the first partial year of holding the rating. See Section 1 of each course syllabus in the to find the rating renewal requirements.
